Franciscan Sisters visit Boys Town

As part of our annual Community Days  we travelled to the original Boys Town for Mass at Immaculate Conception Church.  After Mass we met Father Frank Lordemann, previous Associate Pastor at West Point, who treated us to a delicious lunch and then gave us a guided tour of Boys Town.

During the tour, Fr. Frank took us to the Museum where  the original poster of “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother” is preserved.  We were amazed at the size of Boys Town and learned that there are currently 12 Boys Town sites throughout the United States serving thousands of families and children. Pictured are Sister Barbara Mathe, Fr. Frank Lordemann, Sister Joy Rose, and Sister Elizabeth Ann Miller at the Boys Town Museum.
